the Boston Red Sox invite fans, young and old, to explore Fenway Park at their own pace. The free, open to the public event gives fans a chance to discover behind-the-scenes locations (including the dugouts and the 'Green Monster') and learn more about "America's Most Beloved Ballpark" through a variety of family-friendly activities:

Mil's Trills brings fun and music for kids to the Cabot Theater in Beverly, Mass

Mil's Trills is a children's music project led by Amelia Robinson, that invites families to celebrate the community through original tunes and a rotating cast of musical guests. A highly interactive show, audiences are encouraged to be part of the experience while discovering a world of instruments.

Join Greenbelt's Guided Monthly Walk featuring guest guide Lana Spillman as we explore the vernal ponds of the Boxford State Forest / Bald Hill Conservation Area. We'll look for signs of spring and the reawakening of this unique natural environment. Fairy shrimp, salamanders and newts...oh my!

Come to the Museum of Science rooftop for free stargazing and astronomy related

Tucked away on the roof of the Museum's parking garage, the Gilliland Observatory is a wonderful resource for our starry-eyed public. On clear nights, you can view stars, planets, the Moon, and other astronomical phenomena. On cloudy nights, tour the inside of our Observatory, and participate in astronomy-related activities run by our knowledgeable staff. Astronomy After Hours is the perfect place to kick off your weekend with your family.

Spring is here and so is mud, a perfect environment for animal tracking!  Join the park interpreter on a walk to find clues that wildlife has left behind.  Please dress for the weather and wear waterproof boots. Meet at the park headquarters on 74 Curzon Mill Road.  Appropriate for families with children for spring break.

 

K'Nex Workshop at Newbury Town Library

Are you familiar with the K’Nex systems ? Similar to LEGOs, they offer children the opportunity to design and create….whatever! Newbury Town Library has received a donation of K’Nex system pieces and is inviting budding builders to explore their possibilities! Space is available for 8 children aged 7-11  (registration required).

Come to NPL for fun and prizes in a family Bingo session!! Join us for a fun-filled afternoon of friendly competition and prizes. All ages welcome at this drop-in program.

 

Kids will get a close-up look at creatures and bugs that live in IRWS wetlands.

Wetlands are wonderful places full of fascinating animals and plants. Together we will discover the wetland habitats of the sanctuary. We'll hike to Hassocky Meadow and search for ducks, turtles, snakes, and more. We will continue our explorations at a real vernal pool and look for breeding salamanders, wood frogs, and their egg masses.
